To avoid having to wait for your client to patch to 100% Cataclysm (the whole of it), you can download the 800MB patch today. So when your account is ready for the expansion anytime from December 7 onwards, you can just login and play.

This works whether you digital pre-ordered or not. You also do not need to install the Cataclysm DVD installer after doing this, thus avoiding re-downloading the patches from 4.0.0 to 4.0.3a.
- Go to your
/World of Warcraft/WTF/folder - Open the files:
Config.wtfand Launcher.wtf[/codespan] - Look for:
SET accountType "LK"and change it to:SET accountType "CT"
