According to Tien Phong (via Thanh Nien Daily), the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications draft a plan on developing Vietnam’s digital content industry such as online games, downloadable music and video clips, multimedia messages, ring-tones and wallpapers between 2006~2010.

The ministry said that there is an estimated domestic electronic game market revenue of $10-$15 million dollars for this year, 2006. With a population of 83.1 million, they will soon become one of East Asia’s top digital content market, let alone online gaming market, With Vietnamese players are always seen in their neighbor’s servers and joining Asian-based guilds.
