One of the popular third-party web-based multiple-messenger service – e-Messenger was recently re-branded as eBuddy and reported getting new VCs.
Europe-based eMessenger/eBuddy is a stiff competitor of US-based Meebo. Both services offer web-based IM for AOL/AIM, ICQ, YM, and MSN/WLM. Meebo also offers support for Jabber and Google Talk while eBuddy offers support for other websites and via Mobile phones.
I first posted about these services back in March 10, 2006, which you can find by clicking here (gtalkr developers were already hired by Google, Inc. and gtalkr was shut down).
