Saddam Hussein, former Dictator of Iraq, was hanged early Saturday morning (Iraq Time) according to an Iraqi TV News. The original plan was to hang Saddam on the 27th of January 2007 (my birthday), but it appears that the Iraqi Justices decided to hang him today, the 30th of December 2006, the same day Dr. Jose Rizal was executed. The difference? Dr. Jose Rizal, a Philippine National Hero and inspiration for the soon-to-erupt anti-colonialism sentiments and Saddam is what the world calls “evil” Dictator, who even his own Islam brothers and sisters really hate.
