OK, now you have my attention. She compares computer gaming addiction to gambling addiction. While gambling has many of the same characteristics for enthusiasts, no one claims 40 percent of gamblers are addicted.

This is true. Many people who supposedly are the so-called “experts” make ridiculous claims, from politicians, law-makers to doctors and psychologists. Majority of them are not even gamers of today’s age (a wild guess, majority of them were “gamers” of very old street games or board games or dice-based games).
